This week two of our team members, Linda Gountaras and Louis Nickolaou, were honoured to be guest readers at SickKids Story Time!
“It was a wonderful morning and we were so grateful to be a part of it.” Linda
Story Time takes place in the library at SickKids hospital every week day at 11 am. It’s usually hosted by the Librarian and one of the therapeutic clowns, in addition two guest speakers are welcome to come and join in the fun.

Linda and Louis on SickKids TV during Story Time
For patients who are unable to participate in the library due to physical or medical restrictions, Story Time is broadcast through the hospital’s closed-circuit TV station, so children can still enjoy the story in the comfort of their hospital room.
Linda and Louis had a lot of fun reading books and also singing songs with the children who were able to attend the reading. Linda said “It was a wonderful morning and we were so grateful to be a part of it. They also let us know that the library has a yearly wish list for books… it’s something both Louis and I said that we would share with our office staff.
If you’d like to help support SickKids go to our Team Kleenway page and sign-up to walk 5km with us on September 28th at the GetLoud event! Or you can donate online and help us reach our $10,000 fundraising goal!
Alternatively if you’d like to donate books or other items SickKids has a wish list posted or you can email donations.coordinator@sickkids.ca.
Thanks for having us SickKids library and we look forward to reading stories and singing songs again soon!
